Portland, Oregon

The Holgate Center is located in Southeast Portland, a popular residential area.

Nearby Reed College is a picturesque liberal arts and sciences school with an annual enrollment of 1,400. Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, also nearby, boasts more than 2,500 rhododendrons, azaleas, and companion plants within a park-like setting of waterfalls, bridges, and paths. It is surrounded by lagoons and the Eastmoreland Golf Course.

An extinct volcano provides panoramic views of Portland from a beautiful forested setting--Mt. Tabor Park. The quaint Oaks Park is the area's oldest continuously operated amusement park, featuring rides, a year-round skating rink, and picnic grounds.

Not to be overlooked are the antique stores and turn-of-the-20th-century architecture of Sellwood, a district south of Oaks Bottom Wildlife Sanctuary.

Southeast Portland is in close proximity to the downtown area, where you'll find Powell's City of Books, NikeTown, and Columbia Sportswear among hundreds of other shops as well as restaurants and additional attractions.
