Volunteer
The Holgate Center depends on volunteers to provide assistance to residents and staff. If you can commit a little of your free time each week to helping others, we'd love to hear from you.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Weekly bingo caller
- Supervise daily pre-recorded exercise program
- Visits with individual residents
- Game playing (chess, checkers, board games, etc.)
- Card playing (rummy, canasta, pinochle, etc.)
- Manicures/polish nails
- Letter writing
- Assist residents with writing life stories
- Reading to residents
- Lead/assist in craft projects
- Lead sing-a-longs
- Musicians/musical programs
- Lead discussion groups, (reminiscing, current events, films, books, etc.)
